CALL FOR MENTORS
The Leadership LINKS Network (the engine or “secret sauce” of servant leaders who keep our organization going) is an multi-ethnic and intergenerational community of women and men who partner together in support of our organization’s vision and purpose. Mentors within the Leadership LINKS Network play a critical role by executing our programming and supporting our organization’s goal to raise up the next generation of leaders.
We are strategically building a team and crafting a plan to further our Mentoring Across Generations movement.
It is a privilege for abled-bodied humans to work. Working is one of the ways that we image God, bring forth beauty, support ourselves and our families, and reflect God’s goodness in the earth; therefore work is sacred gift and responsibility. Our work is not simply our jobs or the things that we do for payment. Through work, especially when we are working with and among the “right people,” we can come to understand our vocation or purpose for being. When done with the right motivations, all work gives us the opportunity to Serve so our being can inform our doing.
Effective delivery of our mentoring programs is critical for our leadership development path. With an intentional preparation and orientation towards innovation, entrepreneurship, and executive leadership, Leadership LINKS, Inc. has a layered strategy and long-term approach to prepare LINKS Leaders (program participants) for the workplace in various career fields.
We need two types of mentors for the success of our programs.
Career Mentors can support our mentoring programs in a number of ways and they have shorter time commitments. Career Mentors can offer monthly professional mentorship and/or career coaching for our young women's mentoring program, serve as a guest speakers, facilitate "Lunch and Learn" training sessions, offer Leadership Exploration Workshops (LEW), or share their leadership journey during one of our mentoring dinners. If you are interested in serving as a Career Mentor, please complete this application form.
Program Mentors are committed to joining the mentoring leadership team, serving with our program throughout the duration of the mentoring season, and leading or facilitating a mentoring small group for one of the targeted audiences that we serve through this program.
Program Mentors are required to complete self-paced online training models as part of the screening process. After the successful completion of the online training and screening process, our mentors will continue to receive training and support from the leadership team to ensure that they are knowledgeable about our organization and the constituents that we serve, are prepared to deliver the best high quality programming, and so they are prepared to create a safe, supportive, and joyous learning environment for our LINKS Leaders.
You can become part of our Mentoring Across Generations movement, and positively impact the lives of the next generation of leaders through either of our mentoring programs:
Leadership LINKS Mentoring Program for Young Women (a hybrid program for young women ages 21-30), or the
Leadership LINKS Mentoring Program for Girls (a hybrid program for 6th through 12th grade girls).
We consistently look for committed Program Mentors who first affirm the ethos of our organization in their personal and professional lives; have the professional expertise and leadership to enhance the LINKS Leaders (program participants) learning experience; and who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of girls and women leaders. If this is you, then the first step is to LINK Up with Us by completing the Program Mentor application.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A PROGRAM MENTOR?
Since we prepare leaders for the workplace, we are looking for Program Mentors with proven leadership skills and expertise in their career fields;

Since we have a team mentoring model, we seek Program Mentors who will invest, enhance, collaborate with, and be willing participants of support, encouragement, and peer mentorship for our growing and national mentoring team;
